Our super kids are awesome! I love to see them as the van pulls up , the doors open, and they run out to put their book bags up so they can go outside and play for a while. I love the way they are excited to tell us - “ I know my Bible verse for this week.” I love to hear their giggles and laughter. I love the way they help each other and encourage each other. I love to hear their answers to questions and I love to hear their questions. Their innocence and vulnerability is refreshing. I love the way they get excited about a new Bible lesson or a new game or a new dish that we’ve prepared for them.
Last week the lesson was about Moses receiving the Ten Commandments. The video they watched explained that God wrote the Ten Commandments himself on the tablets of stone. When Moses came down from the mountain he saw that the children of Israel had rebelled. Moses got angry, and he threw down the tablets and they broke. After all the turmoil quieted down Moses went back up on the mountain and this time God said “ you can write the Ten Commandments this time.
One of our super kids said “ kind of like you break it you fix it.” Yes exactly.
I’m so glad God gives us all second chances! Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
(Matthew 19:14)
